Special Preview – Autograph – Spring 2014 Collection

I was invited along to Autograph for a very special preview of the Spring Summer 2014 collection… If you missed it, check out the previews for City Chic and Katies I posted earlier!

What’s the inside goss?
Autograph is really trying to change things up and appeal to more customers by diversifying their range. In addition to their staple basics, denim, workwear, casual wear and swim collection, you can expect to see some beautiful formal wear pieces, underwear, and while staying true to their target demographic – pushing the envelope a little with some fashion forward pieces like jumpsuits!

Spring/Summer 2014 Collection
This is a really diverse collection.
I saw a couple of different colour palettes in the collection – from beautiful greys and muted florals, to blue and green jewel tones and monochrome graphics.

There were some pieces, reminiscent of the TS14+ layering style, with longline tunics and tops designed to wear together at a really reasonable price point. Not my style, but I’m sure it will be popular with Autograph customers.

Lots of sleeves on offer, Autograph are listening to their customer base, and still producing great basic tops but in a much higher quality feel, not only in terms of the fabrics, but also finishing details like gold bar neckline details and pin-tucking detail across the back to give a beautiful shape.

What did I love?
I was immediately drawn to the muted florals in this white basic top – the sleeves are able to be rolled up and button which is a beautiful detail. This top is really versatile and an be worn in the office with some beautiful tailored pants, or on the weekend with some cute shorts, or even for a night out with some glam dark wash skinny jeans and bling.

I really love that they are trying something a big new, like this hi-low top with crochet back (the back is pictured below). I can totally see this being paired with some fab swimwear for the perfect resort wear look. They also are bringing out this macrame top later this year, again putting themselves out there to try new things.

I can go past a classic shift dress, and this one had effortless drape detail around the shoulders – it’s these kind of details that will be setting Autograph apart for SS14.

My top pick…?
I am totally in love with this Navy formal maxi dress. There is something so stunning about the combination of the drape and button details and sexy split, it’s drop dead stunning and is the absolute top of my wishlish. I’m also told that it will be coming out in cream later in the year too – to if you are looking for a cheap Gatsby style wedding dress – Autograph may just be making all of your dreams come true!

So that’s the SS14 sneak peek – are you an Autograph customer? What would you like to see for SS14?
